Goal:

Project work in a team from specification through design and implementation till the testing. At the end of the semester a working system must be presented. MSc student must prepare everything in English.

Requirements:

  1. Date and place of the briefing: See in Neptun
  2. Find your project and supervisor: Create your team. Teams must contain typically 3 members (exceptionally teams with 2 or 4 members may be accepted). Browse the above lists of possible projects. Select your favorite topic and contact the supervisor.
  3. Submit the project description. The project description (1 page max) is created and signed by the supervisor and submitted by the team to Dr. István Heckl (Bldg. I room I918. or the office in I922). 
    Deadline: February 15, 12:00. 
    The project description contains 
        - Title of the project, 
        - Short description of the project, 
        - List of tasks, 
        - Name and Neptun-code of team members, 
        - Name and signature of the supervisor
  4. Register on Moodle (http://oktatas.mik.uni-pannon.hu/ , course id: VEMISAM235P
    Deadline: February 15, 12:00. 
  5. First checkpoint. Submit the documentation to your supervisor. After acceptance upload it to moodle in one instance. The documentation should contain the work plan, detailed specification, the tasks assigned to team members, and the description of the work completed in this phase. The length of documentation is typically 15-20 pages.
    Deadline: March 25, 12:00.
  6. First presentation. Your team presents the goal of project, the planned solution, the work plan, and the completed work so far, in 10 mins. Your presence is mandatory. Prototype demo is an advantage (within the 10 mins time limit).

  7. Second checkpoint. Submit your final documentation to your supervisor. After acceptance upload it to moodle. The documentation should contain the description of the completed work and the detailed documentation of the designed and implemented system. The length of documentation is typically 40-60 pages.
    Deadline: May 13, 12:00
  8. Second presentation. Your team presents the completed project in 10 mins. Your presence is mandatory. Demo (live or recorded) is required (within the 10 mins time limit).

Notice that apart from the two mandatory presentations, during the semester your team must regularly report to your supervisor on your progress (min 4 occusions). Between the meetings you must work according the instructions of your supervisor. Your timetable (time and place of your meetings) must be approved by the supervisor.
